Zakir Hossain brings senior leadership experience from leading global organizations, including Unilever, British American Tobacco and Mondelēz International, across Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Canada.

After arriving in Canada as an international student, he successfully navigated the Canadian job market and secured a senior-management role with a six-figure compensation package. Throughout his career, he has also interviewed and assessed candidates for mid-management and senior-level roles.

At ZLC, Zakir conducts practical Mock Interview Sessions for professionals worldwide pursuing career opportunities in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Gulf countries. Tawhidul Azam Utsho is an experienced IELTS and Workplace English Trainer with approximately four years of teaching experience at Zia’s Language Centre. He has supported learners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds in strengthening their English and preparing effectively for IELTS Academic and General Training.

He completed his O Levels and A Levels at Academia before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from North South University, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree alongside his full-time professional career.

Combining teaching and corporate experience, Utsho brings a practical, learner-centred approach to every session. He identifies individual strengths and improvement areas, builds confidence, develops practical English skills and guides learners with clear strategies across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. He also helps professionals communicate more effectively in the workplace.

His goal is not simply to prepare learners for a test, but to help them use English with greater clarity, confidence and purpose.

Jannatul Ferdous (Shoma) holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Bangla from the National University of Bangladesh. As a native Bengali speaker with a strong academic foundation in Bangla language and literature, she brings a genuine appreciation for Bengali culture and heritage to her teaching.

Having lived with her family in Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and now Canada, Shoma understands the challenges faced by children of Non-Resident Bangladeshi families who grow up with limited exposure to Bengali-speaking environments. Her own experience raising children abroad has strengthened her understanding of how language can help young learners remain connected to their roots.

At ZLC, she supports children in becoming comfortable and confident speaking Bengali through patient, encouraging and practical conversation. Her learner-friendly approach makes Bangla relevant to everyday life while helping children develop a stronger connection with their language, culture and Bangladeshi heritage.
